St. Petersburg, Fla. – Tax-free weekend isn’t just for adults anymore. At PSTA, it’s all about the kids.
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) is offering free rides for up to three kids, ages 18-years-old and younger, with each fare paying adult from Friday, August 4 through Sunday, August 6.
With more than 30 routes that connect to shopping centers across Pinellas County, PSTA allows riders to spend less on travel and more on school supplies.
Youth riders taking public transportation to their first day of school on August 10 are encouraged to enter PSTA’s First Day of School Contest.
Parents or guardians can post a picture of their child at the bus stop or getting on a bus on their first day of school and tag @RidePSTA on social media by using the hashtag #BackToSchool. Ten winners will be selected at random to win a $25 Visa gift card to go towards school supplies.
For more information on how to enter PSTA’s First Day of School Contest visit www.psta.net/contest.
