The PSTA Trip Planner web site is designed to help you Plan a trip or View a timetable based on information in our transit schedules. Please contact our customer service operators if you require assistance.
Plan a trip
You can plan trips between two locations on the transit network by providing the following information:
  • Step 1: Specify Where you are coming from on your trip using the dropdown lists or the map (in extended mode)
  • Step 2: Specify Where you are going on your trip using the dropdown lists or the map (in extended mode)
  • Step 3: Indicate When do you want to leave to travel
  • Step 4: Specify Travel options for the plan
The Quick trip planner is used to produce trip plans between two locations using the basic default travel options. You can switch to the extended mode at any time while retaining you initial entries.

When your entries are complete, click Show trip plan.

The resulting trip plan is displayed on a map along with summary information followed by its steps. The summary information of one or all steps can be expanded for more information. You can zoom in on a particular step on the map or on the entire trip plan by clicking the Zoom links. The trip plan on the map shows an icon for every location and every step of the trip plan. You can hover the mouse over the icons to get more information. A Note legend is displayed if any public information notes apply to the plan. Note that texts are shown with letter codes that are included in the step details to indicate where they apply. You can Email or Print the plan.

You can use the following actions to request different plans.
  • Change options returns to the Plan a trip page and displays your last choices so you can make changes and resubmit your request.
  • Plan return trip returns to the Plan a trip page with your origin and destination inversed. You can specify the time for your return plan, and may want to specify a different destination.
  • Show plan with earlier arrival refreshes the plan based on the previous possible arrival time.
  • Show plan with later departure refreshes the plan based on the next possible departure time.
  • Show plan with alternate path refreshes the plan to include a different route.
View a timetable
To view timetables for important stops along a route or for a specified stop, provide the following information.
  • Step 1: Specify the Date of the timetable to view
  • Step 2: Specify the Route and Direction of the timetable to view
  • Step 3: Select a Stop for the timetable to view
After you complete Step 1 and Step 2, the route map is displayed and you can click Show route timetable to display times at important stops on the route.

If you continue and complete Step 3, you can click Show stop timetable to display times at the stop.

The resulting Route timetable shows times in columns for a predefined set of main stops along the route.
The resulting Stop timetable shows times at a specified stop.

In either case, the following actions are available:
  • You can Print the timetable.
  • View another timetable returns to the View a timetable page so you can request a different timetable.
  • You can toggle between Show arrival times when departures are displayed, or Show departure times when arrivals are displayed.
A Note legend is displayed if any public information notes apply to the route or to any passing times.
